ORIENTATION DAY

With some of our sponsors on Orientation Day!

On February 27th, the Queens finally got to meet our new contestants after all this time! We met up with our 12 contestants for the first time at Fugu Lounge. There, we had lunch and also met with some financial advisers, a Shishedo beauty expert, and of course an etiquette teacher. It was an absolutely amazing time! I was so happy to meet all the new girls and see that they were so excited to be there as well.

CHINESE NEW YEAR

A quick picture with my friend Wendy at the CCEA Chinese New Year Celebration Dinner!

I was invited to make a speech at the event after being a part of their organization since childhood. I talked about my year and how pageantry has shaped my life to what it is today. Pageants are beneficial to everyone and can help everyone learn new skills and become connected to influential people.

HOLIDAY LUNCHEON

On January 7th, the MAS staff and queens had a holiday luncheon to catch up with one another and see what was going on in all of our lives.

That day we also had a staff meeting and figured out the rest of the pageant season’s schedules.

We also exchanged white elephant gifts!

It was also an opportunity for some of the newest 2012 contestants to meet up with the Queens and chat about the 2012 pageant!

Fashionista Party 2011

Today, all the old MAS courts and guests arrived at Debra’s house for our Fashionista Party! This year, we learned tricks for hair and makeup. First we of course had a small lunch. Then we learned how to do quick hair from Alice and makeup from a former contestant, Elodie. The whole thing was organized by our new Makeup Coordinator, Sherry Vang! We also met a few of the new staff for this year! It was great to see everyone again after not seeing them for most of the whole summer.
Can’t wait for next year, when the 2012 courts join us.

Next year’s pageant date has finally been announced!

April 7th 2012!

Check the website regularly to get ready to apply! We’re looking for 10 contestants for Miss and 10 for Teen!
