MRS ASIA SACRAMENTO& COURT: 2013 – 2014
QUEEN XUE MEI CHEN
MRS ASIA CALIFORNIA: 2013 – 2014
Hi! My name is Xuemei Frasche. Xuemei is my Chinese name; and it means, “Snow Plum.” I have lived in the United States for 8 years, and Sacramento is the city where I landed the first day of my arrival. I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for 10 years, and we have a 2 year-old son. When I was in China, I studied to become a lawyer. However, life changed when I met my husband. And I accompanied him to California. Currently I work as an Information Technologist/Business Analyst for the State of California. Never in my life did I imagine myself in a position as a “Beauty Queen.” Like many women, I like beautiful clothes, jewelery, makeup, and skin care products, as well as the many other things that enhance the appeal of a woman. However, what is most important is to have the skills, knowledge, and wisdom to be a woman of grace and elegance; and to be able to inspire others to carry-on with our Chinese culture. I acknowledge and extend my sincere thanks to the Executive Director of the Mrs. Asia Sacramento Pageant, Debra Ichimura, and the first Mrs. Asia Sacramento, Sabrina Chen. You two inspired, encouraged, and supported me throughout my efforts to become the current Mrs. Asia Sacramento. Without you, my quest would have been much more difficult. Life is a journey, and oftentimes one is faced with many obstacles. However, all things are possible if one has the passion and dedication to overcome those obstacles! I look forward to serving as Mrs. Asia Sacramento, and representing my culture with the highest regards.
